Why NFTs?
We would like to give back to the delegators of the pool.
Who will receive NFTs?
Early delegators to the VASIL pool (id: 9c3bcf9d42f117cf4405d394e448ee1f46dd8c52b705decec29bcdc0) received NFTs after the pool launch in 2022.
Delegators to Vasil’s previous pool (GINKG) also received scarce NFTs in May 2022 as a Thank You! before the pool was retired. The artwork for these NFTs included Ginkgo leaf, seed, and symbols that Vasil valued. To learn more about the symbols used in the first NFT click here.
By virtue of announcing the intentions of rewarding delegators with NFTs the opportunity to receive future NFTs from the pool is open to a broader audience and in that sense future NFTs will be less rare than the first collections.
What is the utility of the NFTs?
The original NFTs are simply collectible. Future collections will have participatory nature where holding multiple NFTs means additional airdrops.
In the long term, we plan to connect NFTs to physical trees associated with specific coordinates, which NFT owners can visit in person.
2022 NFTs
- Completed on May 27: NFTs with artwork of Ginkgo leaf, seed, and symbols that Vasil valued were airdropped to all delegators to the GINKG pool.
- Completed on June 23: All delegators of the VASIL pool who had delegated between 100 ADA and 999 ADA were airdropped a tree NFT artwork.
- Completed on June 30: All delegators of the VASIL pool who had delegated between 1,000 ADA and 9,999 ADA were airdropped a tree NFT artwork.
- Completed on July 9: All delegators of the VASIL pool who had delegated between 10,000 ADA and 99,999 ADA were airdropped a tree NFT artwork.
- Completed on September 3: All delegators of the VASIL pool who had delegated 1,000,000 ADA or more were airdropped a tree NFT artwork.
Delegators with larger stake received NFTs with artworks of more complex (”older”) trees.
